Wizards Roster Likely Set

Now that the Vegas Summer League is over with a semi-final loss, it’s time to look at the roster the Wizards will carry into the 2016-’17 regular season. Washington will bring in several players that impressed in Nevada over the past few weeks, however, the roster is close to being set.

General Manager Ernie Grunfeld has historically carried 14 players, leaving one opening to add a veteran who becomes available, or to cover for injury. With several potential partially guaranteed contracts, it is possible the the GM fills all 15 spots.

The Wizards still have their small exception available and all signs point to a potential return of Alan Anderson. The swing man was plagued by injury last season, but remains a favorite of star point guard John Wall.

A pair of guard/forwards appear to have secured roles on the regular season roster, with their play in the summer league. Jarell Eddie, who appeared in 26 games last season and undrafted free agent Danuel House out of Texas A&M.
