Redskins resign Hood, release Jean-Francois

The Washington Redskins resigned DL Ziggy Hood and released DL Ricky Jean-Francois today. Hood, signed last year, played in all games for the Redskins last season.  He accumulated 33 tackles and added a forced fumble and one sack.  Hood played better as the season progressed and ended up playing the tenth most defensive snaps on the Redskins defense.
