Skins beat reporter Mike Jones says the Skins and GM Scot McCloughan are headed for a divorce after the NFL Draft.

Barry Svrluga is correct — the Jay Gruden extension is just a Band-Aid (and barely that). The real problem with the Skins is still what it has always been since 1999 — a terrible owner who doesn’t know what he’s doing and continues to run a once-great franchise into the ground.

Nevertheless, Keim says the Gruden extension was necessary. So does JP Finlay.

The NFL free agent market for quarterbacks is going to be insane. This is not good for the Skins, but they made their own bed by refusing to negotiate seriously with Kirk Cousins a year ago.
