SERIES MVP: Bryce Harper. The offense was not all that productive in this series, as the Nationals were outscored by the Marlins. However, Harper hit 2 home runs and a double in the series, including his second Grand Slam of the season, already.  In this short 15 games season thus far, Harper now has 8 home runs. Harper’s numbers this series … (3-14 (.214) at the plate, 2 home runs, double, 3 runs scored, and 6 RBI)

TOP STARTING ARM: What a terrific start for Stephen Strasburg, both in this series, and for the season as a whole thus far.  Strasburg’s win over the Marlins kept him perfect on the season at 3-0.  Strasburg also hit double digits in KOs this week, sitting down 10 Marlin batters.  … [8 IP, 3H, 0 Runs, 2 BB, 10 KOs, 0.00 ERA, on the season, 3-0 with a 1.25 ERA]

TOP BULLPEN ARM: Yusmerio Petit.  Petit stepped in for an injured Joe Ross (blister on throwing hand) and gave the Nats exactly what they had hoped for when they signed him this off-season, strong, steady long relief.  He tossed 4 innings and picked up the win.  [2 appearances, 5 innings, 1 run, 3 hits, 0 W, 4 KO, 1.80 ERA]

HOT AS FIRE: Bryce Harper. Harper has 8 home runs in the first 15 games of the season, including two grand slams.  Harper leads the majors with 8 home runs and 22 RBI.

COLD AS ICE: Wilson Ramos has gone a little cold.  After opening the series on a tear, he was 2 for 15 this series.  He did hit a home run,.  Anthony Rendon also had 2 hits on 14 at bats.

What’s Next? The Nationals begin a six game homestand tonight against Minnesota and then Philadelphia on Tuesday.

Season Record: 11-4
