On the offensive line, the Redskins are dealing with injuries to two of the critical lineman.  Both are expected to play this week.  LT Ty Nsekhe was limited in practice as he is battling through a sore ankle.  He was battling through that on the Thanksgiving loss to the Dallas Cowboys.  Nsekhe has admirably filled in for suspended Pro Bowl LT Trent Williams at the critical left tackle position.  Nskehe has lined up along some of the best pass rushers in the NFL, including against Green Bay’s Clay Matthews.  Yet, left tackle has been a strength as Nsekhe has allowed little pressure and has limited penalties.  You simply can’t ask for more than Nskehe has provided.  Williams is set to return next week.

RG Brandon Scherff was also limited in practice, also being hobbled by an ankle injury.  Scherff has steadily become identified around the NFL as the best right tackle in football.  He’s a tough man, has excelled inside, and will gut through an ankle injury.  He is expected to play.  Right tackle Morgan Moses has been gutting through pain for weeks.  Again it is an ankle injury.  Despite the pain, you will see Moses on the field and was a full active participant in practice.

The big one here is TE Jordan Reed.  Reed separated his shoulder in the first half last week against Dallas, but still came out of the locker room and caught two TD passes.  What an incredible and inspiring effort from Reed.  The bad news is that Reed is not expected to play on Sunday.  It is a tough injury to play through.  Redskins will have to turn to Vernon Davis and Derek Carrier at tight end.  Not too shabby.

CB Bashaud Breeland was also limited in practice due to an ankle injury.  He is expected to play Sunday.  LS Nick Sundberg was back to full duty and expected to take back the long snapper role.  Redskins did release Rick Lovato, who filled in the past two weeks for Sundberg.

That is your Friday Redskins injury report.
